The Predator 10K antenna is a State of the Art Antenna that has set the
standards for all other big antennas being built in the world today. As you view

This is the full Predator 10K line. The single coil antennas are available in 5
different shaft lengths. 9-12-17-22 and 27 inches. The two coil antennas range
from 9-12-17 and 22 inches. With the variety of shaft lengths and a two coil
design, we try to build an antenna for just about every kind of vehicle out
there.
Here is a single coil 10K with a 12" shaft that is designed to be mounted on rooftops, magnet mounts, headache racks, diesel car mirrors etc. Mounted in the proper place, this antenna will tune extremely low and and perform very well.
The predator 10K antenna is made up of three sections. It has a shaft, coil and a top piece. This is one of the advantages it has over most all other antennas. If any section is damaged, it can be replaced (unlike heavy guage welded antennas) without having to buy a whole new antenna.
Here is a breakdown of a single coil antenna showing the three sections. The top piece, the coil and the shaft. The lower illustration shows some visible parts to these three sections that screw into the tubing.
It takes 15 parts to complete a single coil antenna. Every part is cut and machined to a close tolerance and screwed together. There is nothing pressed or standing out on the outside. There are no stand offs to arc at high watts and volts. If you are thinking corrosion, forget it. All metal parts that screw into each other are treated with a special electrical contact lubricant made especially for aluminum to prevent corrosion caused by moisture.
